Almonte, Friday June 1 and Saturday June 2: Don Maynard Park, Gale Street

Residents are invited by the neighbours to help clean up Don Maynard Park by weeding and trimming anytime on Friday June 1, and finishing up and planting on Saturday morning, June 2, 9 to noon. Some plants will be provided; if you have donations for the small perennial garden, please bring them. There will be a BBQ and potluck at noon. Bring a salad, sandwich, treat, or beverage.

As you may know, PRATAC and other residents are appealing the municipality’s decision to sell this small park on Gale Street near the expanding school that has the smallest amount of nearby open space. Why? So someone can make more dollars on a couple of lots already serviced.

Help out, drop by Gale Street, bring the kids, meet the neighbours.

Thank you!
