We came across this surprising event on the Liberal Party website, while reading about Appointee Pulker-Mok’s latest appointment as the Liberal candidate – by acclamation – for our provincial riding. “Politics in the Pub” is a local Liberal party series of events in different towns to get local supporters to “talk politics and election strategy.”

According to this, a municipal employee and committee chair attended a political party event, the stated purpose of which was to “talk politics and election strategy.”
Did the Municipality (we) pay them to attend?
Did the Liberal party pay them to attend?
Did they volunteer for the party in their municipal roles?
